The Daikin Sensira 3.3 kW is a wall-mounted split air conditioner for a single room, sold as a set of the FTXF35E indoor unit and the RXF35E outdoor unit. The manufacturer describes it as a low-energy unit with quiet, discreet operation. It is a sensible choice for someone in Warsaw who wants a well-known brand and simple operation rather than a long list of modes and extras. The Sensira series is designed not to draw attention: a small, light-coloured body that can even be fitted above a door.

The key figures from the manufacturer's data look like this. Nominal cooling capacity is 3.3 kW and nominal heating capacity is 3.5 kW; the unit works in a range of 1.3–3.8 kW when cooling and 1.3–4.4 kW when heating. Seasonal efficiency is SEER 6.5 (class A++) in cooling and SCOP 4.2 (class A+) in heating. The indoor sound pressure level lies between 20 and 43 dB, and the outdoor unit is rated at 48 dB. The indoor unit weighs 8.5 kg and is 770 mm wide.

One limitation is worth stating early. The heating operating range is given for outdoor temperatures from -15 to 18 °C WB, meaning wet bulb, so it should not be read like an ordinary air temperature. The Sensira suits a bedroom, a living room or a small office where quiet and a reasonable bill matter. If the air conditioner is meant to be the main heat source in the hardest frosts, we will discuss it with you during the quote, before you order anything. We base this page on the manufacturer's data: the technical flyer figures and the series description. Where the source is silent, we do not add features, so that you decide on facts rather than promises.

Overview and positioning

In Daikin's range the Sensira is a wall-mounted series for one room: each outdoor unit serves one indoor unit. The manufacturer explicitly presents it as an air conditioner for a single room, not a multi-room system. This layout is the simplest to install and service, because one pair of units serves one space, and a fault or an inspection does not affect the rest of the flat.

In terms of parameters this is a basic model with no ambition to set efficiency records. Class A++ in cooling and A+ in heating means decent, but not outstanding, energy use. The manufacturer points to the discreet appearance and low noise level, and those are its main strengths. The Sensira will appeal to a customer who values the brand, calm operation and no surprises, rather than the number of functions to program. For a Warsaw customer this means a clear division of roles. It should do its job quietly: cool the room on hot days and warm it when the radiators have not yet started or have already switched off. It does not replace a complete heating system, but as a supplement it works well, provided the room is well insulated and the windows are tight.

The 35 in the name FTXF35E refers to the capacity class of the unit. The actual nominal values are 3.3 kW in cooling and 3.5 kW in heating, so we choose capacity for a room from measurements, not from the name alone. For a medium-sized room this capacity is usually enough, but windows, sun exposure and heat-emitting equipment are what matter most.

Cooling and heating technology

The system runs on R32 refrigerant. The capacity range of 1.3–3.8 kW in cooling and 1.3–4.4 kW in heating shows that the unit does not work in on–off mode but adjusts its output to the demand of the room. Under a light load it drops to the lower end of the range, and in a heatwave or on a cold day it can raise its output. As a result the temperature stays steadier and the compressor does not start every few minutes.

The manufacturer states two efficiency classes: A++ for cooling at SEER 6.5, and A+ for heating at SCOP 4.2. In practice this means that in the heating season the unit delivers more than four times as much heat as the electricity it draws, provided conditions match those of the test. One practical note: SEER and SCOP come from standardised test conditions, while your bill depends on insulation, the set temperature and the hours of operation. Setting the thermostat one degree lower in winter or higher in summer visibly changes consumption. In cooling the unit works at outdoor temperatures from -10 to 48 °C, which covers a Warsaw summer with a margin.

In heating the operating range is from -15 to 18 °C WB. The Sensira will do well in autumn, spring and typical winter days, but it is not advertised as a unit for extreme frosts. The maximum installation length is 20 m, which in a flat is usually more than enough, because the outdoor unit sits on a balcony or facade close to the room. The two units, FTXF35E and RXF35E, are sold as a pair matched by the manufacturer, so you do not have to worry about their compatibility when ordering.

Comfort and air quality

The strongest point of the Sensira is noise. The manufacturer declares quiet operation lowered to 20 dB in the indoor unit, rising to 43 dB at the highest speed. Compared with everyday sounds in a flat, the lowest speed is practically inaudible, which matters in a bedroom. The outdoor unit operates at 48 dB, so when choosing a spot on a balcony or facade it is worth thinking about neighbours and your own windows.

According to the manufacturer the unit provides comfortable airflow. We set the exact airflow direction at commissioning so that the stream does not fall directly on the bed or desk. The manufacturer also stresses that the unit is well suited to installation above a door, where the air spreads through the whole room with minimal disturbance.

The manufacturer's description does not list separate air filters or purification functions, so we do not promise them. Simply look after what applies to every air conditioner: clean the intake filters of the indoor unit regularly, because dirty ones restrict airflow, raise noise and reduce performance. Once a year it is worth ordering an inspection that covers the cleanliness of the heat exchanger and the condensate drain. During the inspection we check that the drain is not blocked, since this is one of the most frequent causes of dripping from the indoor unit. Short, intense airing is also a better habit than a tilted window while the unit runs, because the air conditioner then uses less energy and the room reaches the set temperature faster.

Controls and Wi-Fi

The basic control is a remote controller. The manufacturer describes it as intuitive and easy to use while giving full control of the unit. For many people that is an advantage: the temperature, fan speed and mode are set quickly, without learning an app.

The manufacturer lists control from outside via the Onecta app as an option. This means the model name alone does not tell you that the unit has network access straight away. We do not claim that the required module is in the set, and we do not include it in the scope of work by default. If you want to switch the air conditioner on from your phone before coming home, say so during the quote and we will check what additional equipment is needed. If you decide later that you want remote control after all, adding it will be easier if we know from the start that you are considering it.

The manufacturer's description mentions no advanced timers or special modes, so we do not describe them here. For the record: if you currently manage heating or blinds by hand, the remote is quite enough. The app is worth adding when you often come back to an empty flat and want to prepare it in advance. After commissioning we go through the remote with you, so you know from day one how to set the temperature without overcooling the room or wasting electricity.

Design and build

The indoor unit is 770 mm wide, 286 mm high and 225 mm deep, and weighs 8.5 kg. The manufacturer points to a compact, modern look and a discreet character. In the manufacturer's photo the casing is light, white with a creamy tint, and plain, without ornaments, so it is easy to match to most interiors. The dimensions are moderate, which is why the unit fits even above a door.

The manufacturer's materials contain one more depth value, 255 mm, on the series page. The technical flyer gives 225 mm. If the installation has to go into a tight niche or under a shelf, we measure the place before you order and confirm the dimension rather than rely on one source.

According to the manufacturer the outdoor unit fits on a roof, on a wall or in a garden, which gives flexibility in choosing the place. In an apartment block we usually mount it on a balcony or facade, taking the housing community's requirements into account. We position the unit so that air flows freely around it and it can be reached during service. Both blocks run on R32, and their design needs nothing from the user beyond regular filter cleaning and a periodic inspection. As for appearance, remember that we route pipes and cables so that they are as unobtrusive as possible. If you prefer to hide them in a wall channel or a trunking strip, tell us during the quote; it affects the scope of work and a possible surcharge.

Installation and service

As part of installation LeoKlima mounts the indoor and outdoor units and runs up to a few metres of refrigerant, electrical and condensate lines. We make the wall penetration and route the installation so that it looks tidy. Then we evacuate the system and check it for leaks, charge it with refrigerant and start the unit.

At the end we check the operating parameters, configure the controls, show you how to use the remote and hand over the warranty documents. The manufacturer allows an installation up to 20 m long, but our price does not cover every route; we define the scope at a free audit, after seeing the place of installation.

We discuss possible surcharges before the work. They concern a longer route, drilling through concrete or reinforced concrete, chasing walls, a condensate pump and work from a lift platform. We quote the installed price after a free assessment. In service, the most important things are filter cleaning and an annual inspection, and in winter checking that the outdoor unit is not buried in snow or iced up. When handing the unit over we show where the filter is, how to take it out and how to check that condensate drains away. This way you can do the most common small tasks yourself and call service only when it is really needed.

Who this model is for — summary

The Daikin Sensira 3.3 kW is for someone who picks a proven brand and a simple air conditioner for one room. It works well in a bedroom, where operation from 20 dB counts, and in a living room or study of medium size. The compact body makes it easier to place above a door or somewhere a bigger unit would be awkward.

It suits less well someone looking for the highest energy class, extensive programming or heating in the hardest frosts. SEER 6.5 and SCOP 4.2 are good but not outstanding, and the heating range ends at -15 °C WB. The Onecta app is optional, so if you need remote control we have to settle it beforehand.

If this description fits your situation, write or call LeoKlima. We will come, look at the room, measure the space for both units and agree the scope of work. Only then will we give the installed price, with no obligation, as part of the free assessment. Such a conversation takes a moment and avoids the most common mistake, which is buying a unit of the wrong capacity or for the wrong place.
