The MHI Standard Plus SRK35ZTL-W is a wall-mounted air conditioner from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries with a nominal capacity of 3.5 kW in cooling and 3.8 kW in heating. The set consists of the SRK35ZTL-W indoor unit and the SRC35ZTL-W outdoor unit, and it runs on R32 refrigerant. Instead of repeating the brochure, this page lists what actually arrives with the unit and what does not, so you can judge whether you will need any extras to get the full picture. If you want the numbers first, they are taken straight from the manufacturer's table, and the sections below explain what they mean in a flat.
Wi-Fi is part of the package, so you do not hunt for a separate adapter. You control the unit from the Smart M-Air app or from a simple backlit remote that sets temperature in 0.5°C steps. The weekly timer works only in the app, so you cannot programme it on the remote. An Allergen Clear filter is included. The photocatalytic deodorising filter is an option that has to be ordered separately. That keeps the first start simple: everything needed for basic use is in the box and in our quote.
The indoor unit is compact, at 798 mm wide, 294 mm high and 210 mm deep, and it weighs 9 kg. An Italian design studio drew its looks, and the air inlet is discreetly hidden once the unit is mounted. The energy class is A++ in both cooling and heating (SEER 6.5, SCOP 4.3), and the permitted pipe run reaches 20 m. With such a long permitted run it is also easier to find a good place for the outdoor unit. We quote the installed price after a free assessment, once we have seen the flat and agreed the pipe route.
In the manufacturer's catalogue Standard Plus is the series coded SRK-ZTL. The manufacturer describes it as elegant, timeless and compact: its indoor unit is smaller than in the same brand's ZR and ZS series. It helps to separate the names right away, because buyers often confuse them. This is a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries product, not a Mitsubishi Electric one. They are two separate companies with their own catalogues and model codes, so do not carry opinions about one over to the other.
This description is built around a single question: what do you get without extra cost, what is optional, and what is missing altogether. As standard you get Wi-Fi with the Smart M-Air app, an Allergen Clear filter, two quiet-mode levels and a simple remote. The photocatalytic deodorising filter is an option. The gap to know about before buying is a weekly timer on the remote, because in this series it works only from the app.
The series starts at 1.5 kW, and the manufacturer says outright that it suits small or well-insulated rooms. The 3.5 kW version sits in the middle of that range and is usually chosen for a living room with a kitchenette or a larger bedroom. Whether it is enough depends on sun exposure, insulation and the number of people at home, so we choose the capacity during a free assessment rather than from floor area alone. We visit by prior appointment, look at the room and only then agree the scope.
Nominal cooling capacity is 3.5 kW, and the unit works across a range from 0.8 to 3.7 kW. In heating the nominal figure is 3.8 kW, with a range from 1.0 to 4.9 kW. The spread between minimum and maximum is wide: with low demand the unit can run at low output, and when the room heats up or cools down quickly it raises its output. That matters in an apartment block, where the thermal load changes during the day.
Seasonal efficiency falls into class A++ in both cooling and heating. The manufacturer gives SEER 6.5 and SCOP 4.3 for the average climate. Those figures come from the data table, so they serve to compare devices and not to promise a particular bill, which depends on weather, insulation and how you use the unit. The refrigerant is R32, which is used in most new wall-mounted air conditioners today.
The outdoor temperature range is also stated plainly. In cooling the unit operates from -15°C to 46°C outside, and in heating from -15°C to 24°C. For a Warsaw winter that means it can top up heat on colder days in autumn and spring, but below the lower limit the manufacturer does not promise operation. If it is meant to be the only heat source through freezing weeks, discuss that before buying, not after the first frost.
Indoor unit noise ranges from 22 to 43 dB. The lower figure applies to the quietest speed and the upper to the highest, so in everyday use at medium speeds you hear noticeably less than at full power. The outdoor unit is rated at 50 dB. Keep that in mind when choosing where to mount it: a neighbour's balcony, a ground-floor bedroom window and a narrow courtyard all need thought, because reflected sound can be more annoying than its level on paper.
The manufacturer provides two quiet-mode levels that limit the noise of the outdoor unit. This helps in the evening and at night, when silence on the balcony or in the garden matters more than the fastest cooling. You switch quiet mode on when you want peace, not maximum speed of temperature change; on a hot afternoon, when the flat is badly overheated, it is better to leave the unit running without limits.
Air quality rests on the Allergen Clear filter, which is included. The photocatalytic deodorising filter is offered as an option, so if reducing odours matters to you, add it to the order. The Self Clean function dries the indoor unit after operation and limits mould growth inside. The manufacturer presents Self Clean as a way to limit mould, not a replacement for cleaning, so do not expect the filters to look after themselves. None of this removes the need for regular filter cleaning and an annual service that keeps performance in order.
A wireless Wi-Fi control system is built in as standard, which sets this model apart from many units where the network module is bought separately. Operation is through the Smart M-Air app. Before you start the setup, make sure your router reaches the room where the unit hangs, because a weak signal deep in the flat is the most common cause of pairing trouble. If the signal is poor, moving the router or adding an access point may solve it, and it is worth settling that before the installation, not after.
The app is also the only place where you can set the weekly timer. The manufacturer states it directly: in the ZTL series this function works only from the app, so the remote cannot handle it. If you plan a schedule, for example cooling the bedroom before you return from work, you cannot set it without the app, so a phone with a working network is practically needed here. Someone who prefers not to use a phone gets the unit without a weekly schedule, with just the remote and basic settings.
The remote itself is simple and backlit, which helps in a dark bedroom. Temperature is set in 0.5°C steps, so you can fine-tune it more precisely than on remotes that jump a whole degree. We configure the controls, including the link to your home network and the basic settings, when we commission the unit, and we show you how to use them day to day. For older family members who prefer the remote to a phone, the set still works, only without the weekly schedule.
An Italian design studio drew the series. The indoor unit has a plain, smooth body in white, which is the only colour available for this model. The air inlet is discreetly hidden once mounted, so you see no grille or obvious opening from the front. That shape blends into a wall more easily than units with visible slots, which matters in a flat with light, smooth walls. White is neutral and does not compete with furniture or wall colour, which for a living room can matter more than the specification.
The indoor unit measures 798 mm wide, 294 mm high and 210 mm deep, and weighs 9 kg. The manufacturer stresses that it is smaller than in the ZR and ZS series. This format can be hung above a door or in a small recess, which in tight Warsaw flats is often decisive. Before choosing the place we always check the free space above and beside the unit, because the filters must remain accessible. The compact body also reduces the heavy look above a bed, where a large unit can feel overbearing.
On the outdoor side the manufacturer points to a light unit that makes mounting easier on a bracket. With limited access, for example on a balcony or high on a facade, lower weight really does simplify the crew's work. R32 refrigerant and an A++ rating complete the picture of a device meant for everyday trouble-free use rather than visual effects beyond what is needed. We always show the client on site how the pipework will run, so that the colour and routing suit the interior.
The most important installation trait of this model is the long pipe run. The manufacturer declares the longest permitted installation length in its class, and the data sheet gives a maximum of 20 m. It also notes the largest height difference in its class. For the user this means the outdoor unit can be placed farther away, for example at the back of the building, when there is no clear wall right behind the room. Whatever the route, what matters is not only length but also easy access to the drilling point and to the outdoor unit, so we set the scope and any surcharges only after seeing the flat.
LeoKlima installation covers mounting the indoor and outdoor units, up to a few metres of refrigerant, electrical and condensate runs, passing through the wall and neat routing of the installation. We pull a vacuum and check the system for leaks, charge it with refrigerant, start the unit and check its operating parameters. We configure the controls, give a handover briefing on use and hand over the warranty documents. We do it so that no traces of work remain in the room and the pipework is routed neatly, with no needless stretches on show.
Possible surcharges are discussed before the work: a longer route, drilling through concrete or reinforced concrete, wall chasing, a condensate pump and work from a lift platform. We set the scope at a free assessment, so there are no surprises on installation day. After installation remember to clean the filters and book regular servicing, and if you have doubts about the app, Wi-Fi pairing or the filters, contact us and we will advise on the next steps.
This air conditioner is for someone who wants Wi-Fi and an app from day one, without buying a module, and who values a calm, compact look with a hidden air inlet. It suits a flat where the indoor unit should be barely visible and phone control is a convenience, not a gimmick. White is the only variant, so if you are looking for another finish, this is not the series. If connectivity and convenience matter most to you, the feature set of this model is its main asset, and the power and efficiency figures are a solid backdrop.
It will work where the installation must be long, because a permitted run of up to 20 m gives freedom in choosing the outdoor unit's position. People sensitive to noise will also appreciate it, since 22 dB at the quietest speed and two quiet-mode levels let you reduce sound at night. For allergy sufferers the Allergen Clear filter in the set is a plus, and for those who want neutral smell the optional deodorising filter is worth adding.
It is not the choice for those who want to run everything from the remote alone, including the weekly schedule, nor for people counting on heating below -15°C. We quote the installed price after a free assessment. Call or write to LeoKlima, and we will come, look at the room, agree the pipe route and tell you straight whether this capacity and this feature set suit your flat.
