The Daikin Stylish is an air conditioner for people who do not want a machine on the wall to dominate the room. The FTXA35B2V1BB indoor unit is only 295 mm high, 798 mm wide and 189 mm deep, and the version described here is finished in matt black. Rounded corners and a flat body make it look more like a piece of living-room furniture than a piece of technical equipment.
Behind the looks there are hard numbers. The set with the RXA35A5V1B outdoor unit has a nominal cooling capacity of 3.4 kW and a nominal heating capacity of 4.0 kW, and the output varies smoothly: cooling from 1.4 to 4.0 kW, heating from 1.4 to 5.2 kW. Seasonal efficiency is SEER 8.73 and SCOP 5.15, which gives class A+++ in summer and in winter alike. The refrigerant is R32.
The strongest argument for a bedroom is the quiet. The manufacturer states the indoor unit sound pressure as 19 to 41 dB, so on its lowest setting the unit is barely audible. The outdoor unit works at 49 dB. We quote the installed price after a free assessment, and this text describes a model that LeoKlima installs in flats and houses in Warsaw and the surrounding area.
Stylish is the Daikin series designed for interiors in which appearance matters as much as the specification. The manufacturer calls it a multi-award-winning, compact wall-mounted air conditioner available in eight colour variants. Three of them are plain colours: white, silver and black. The other five are finishes in which the front looks like fabric or wood: a dark-wood style with a black casing, a light-wood style with a white casing, a dark-brown leather style with a black casing, and two fabric variants, a coloured one with a white casing and a grey one with a black casing.
On this page we describe the matt black version, that is the FTXA35B2V1BB indoor unit paired with the RXA35A5V1B outdoor unit. According to the manufacturer's data the white and silver versions have the same technical parameters, so they differ in colour only. For the wood, leather and fabric finishes we do not assume in advance that every figure is identical, so when you choose one of them we confirm the data for the exact unit code before you order.
In the LeoKlima catalogue this model sits in the designer category. When a customer asks us for an air conditioner for a living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom in an apartment block, or a flat with a deliberately styled interior, Stylish is one of the first proposals, because it does not force a compromise between looks and energy savings. The nominal cooling capacity in the manufacturer's data is 3.4 kW, and the variant name uses the rounded 3.5 kW, as in the series designation.
The system runs on R32 refrigerant and has variable output: the compressor does not simply switch on and off in turns, but adjusts its output to how much heat has to be removed or supplied. In cooling the range is 1.4 to 4.0 kW with a nominal 3.4 kW. In heating the range is 1.4 to 5.2 kW, and the nominal output is 4.0 kW. A wide range is an advantage here: the wider the modulation, the less often the unit goes through the start-stop cycles that wear the compressor and raise power consumption. With such a span the unit does not have to run at full speed once the room is nearly at the set temperature.
Seasonal efficiency is the reason Stylish sits in the top class. SEER 8.73 refers to cooling, SCOP 5.15 to heating, and both fall within class A+++. For a resident of Warsaw this matters most in autumn and spring, when an air-to-air heat pump can be a cheaper and quicker way to warm a flat than switching on the heating of the whole building. In practice it means one thing: when talking about winter operation we stick to what the manufacturer states and do not promise that the unit will replace the main source of heat in every building.
The outdoor temperature ranges have to be read carefully. Cooling is intended for outdoor temperatures from -10 to 46 °C on a dry-bulb thermometer. Heating is given from -15 to 18 °C, but on a wet-bulb (WB) thermometer, which is not the same as the ordinary air temperature on your balcony. In a frosty, dry winter the real operating conditions differ from the values in the table, so we treat this model as a supplement to heating and discuss its role in a particular flat after the assessment.
The manufacturer points to three elements responsible for comfort. The first is an improved airflow system that is meant to give an even temperature distribution in the room, without a clearly cold zone right below the unit and a hot corner under the window. The second is an intelligent thermal sensor that checks the room temperature continuously. The third is a quiet fan, which accounts for the declared 19 dBA at the lowest setting.
It helps to relate the noise level to a real situation. A range from 19 to 41 dB means that on the quiet setting the indoor unit does not disturb sleep, while during intensive cooling after a hot day it works more audibly, but still within the range typical for this class. For a person sensitive to sound this matters even when the bed stands against the very wall that carries the unit, because the lowest level is close to a whisper. On the outdoor side the manufacturer gives 49 dB, so when choosing a spot on the balcony or the facade we keep neighbours and the reflection of sound from walls in mind.
The manufacturer's text does not describe separate air filters or air purification functions, so we do not attribute such abilities to this model. The usual rules of use apply: the filter in the indoor unit should be taken out and washed regularly according to the manual, and once a year it is worth ordering a service check of the whole system. A clean filter and a clean condenser are simple conditions for the unit to keep its declared efficiency and not raise the noise level. It is also worth remembering to ventilate the flat properly, because a wall-mounted air conditioner dries and cools the air but does not replace it with fresh air.
In the set the manufacturer lists a remote controller, described as intuitive and easy to use. This is the basic way of controlling the unit: changing the mode, the temperature and the fan speed is done from the remote, without reaching for the unit on the wall. The remote is shared by everyone in the household, so nobody has to be taught a panel on the device. For everyday use, for instance setting cooling in the evening before sleep, this is usually entirely enough.
The manufacturer also mentions the Onecta app, described as a way to keep the air conditioning under control wherever you are. However, the materials we work from do not say whether a connectivity module is included in this set, or in what form. That is why we do not promise that a Wi-Fi adapter is in the box. We confirm the availability of the connectivity module when we prepare the quote, so the customer knows before ordering whether control through the app will be possible straight away.
If control from a smartphone matters to you, say so at the start of the conversation. We will then check the configuration for the particular unit code and include it in the offer. If the app is a condition of purchase for you, write that plainly at first contact, and we will reply with the manufacturer's information, not a guess. After installation we configure the controls and show you how to use the remote and, if needed, the app as well.
Design is what sets Stylish apart from most wall-mounted air conditioners. The indoor unit is slim: 295 mm high with a depth of 189 mm, which after hanging leaves little protruding mass on the wall. Its weight is 11.5 kg, so installation does not need any special reinforcement, but we still fix the bracket to structural parts of the wall and not to the plaster alone. Rounded corners soften the shape and let the casing suit interiors with gentle lines. What matters to us is that with such small dimensions the unit fits above a door or above a chest of drawers, where a thicker casing would look heavy.
The version we describe has a matt black finish. A matt surface does not reflect window light the way glossy lacquer does, so it creates no glare on the wall and fingerprints are less visible on it. Black looks good in interiors with dark accents, in lofts, and in flats with graphite doors or light fittings. It also goes well with lamp fittings and dark window frames, which is often important in new apartments. For light walls where neutrality counts, the manufacturer offers white and silver versions with the same parameters.
For people who want to go beyond a plain colour there are five finishes inspired by natural materials: dark wood, light wood, dark-brown leather and two fabric variants. This is not a change of the technology itself, only of the front cover. When you choose such a finish we show samples and confirm the availability of the specific code, because the further technical data depends on it.
We quote the installed price after a free assessment, and we set the scope of work during a free audit in your flat. A standard installation covers hanging the indoor unit and placing the outdoor one, running up to a few metres of refrigerant, electrical and condensate routes, passing through the wall and tidy routing of the installation. We then evacuate the system and check it for leaks, charge it with refrigerant, start the unit, check the operating parameters and configure the controls. At the end we hand over operating instructions and the warranty documents. Before the work we show where the installation will run, so the customer can accept the position of the hole and the cable routing.
The manufacturer allows a maximum installation length of 20 m, which for a typical flat in Warsaw is a reserve and not a limit. With Stylish the placement matters more than the length: the outdoor unit must be accessible for service and must not disturb the neighbours. With a designer model we also care that pipes and cables do not spoil the effect the customer paid for when choosing a black-finished air conditioner.
Possible surcharges are discussed before work begins. They concern a longer route, drilling through concrete or reinforced concrete, chasing walls, a condensate pump and work from a lift platform. In use we ask for regular washing of the indoor filter and an annual service check that covers the system, the condensate drainage and the condition of the outdoor unit.
The black matt Daikin Stylish is for a customer who treats the air conditioner as part of the decor and at the same time expects high efficiency. It makes sense in a bedroom and a living room, where the indoor unit will always be visible and a noise level from 19 dB matters at bedtime. The compact body and the choice among eight finishes make it easier to match an interior that we do not want to change because of an appliance. For a household with children or elderly people the low noise level is an extra argument, because the unit can be left on at night without discomfort.
It is also a sensible choice for people who want to use air conditioning outside the hot season. Class A+++ in heating and SCOP 5.15 mean that an air-to-air heat pump can support heating on cooler days. At the same time we keep in mind the wet-bulb caveat: the range from -15 to 18 °C is not the same as the reading on a thermometer outside the window, so when planning winter use we talk about the real conditions in the given building. That way the decision rests on facts from the manufacturer's data sheet and not on a general impression from an advertisement.
If you are looking for the cheapest possible unit, this model may not be the first choice, and if looks, quiet and an efficiency class matter to you, it is worth considering. Book a free audit and we will prepare a quote with installation, confirm the colour or finish you choose and the availability of the connectivity module, and tell you where best to place both units.

Questions
The heating operating range is -15 to 18 °C, but this is a wet-bulb (WB) temperature, not ordinary air temperature. Nominal heating output is 4.0 kW, maximum 5.2 kW, and SCOP is 5.15. We treat the model as effective support for heating; its role in a particular flat is judged at the audit.
The indoor unit has a sound pressure of 19 to 41 dB and the outdoor unit 49 dB. The lowest value applies to the quietest setting, so in a bedroom the unit runs almost silently. During strong cooling the noise rises toward the upper end of the range.
The manufacturer describes the Onecta app and a remote controller, but does not state outright that a Wi-Fi adapter is in the set. We confirm the availability of the connectivity module at the quote stage, so we do not promise it in advance. The remote controller is part of the set.
The indoor unit is 798 mm wide, 295 mm high and 189 mm deep, and weighs 11.5 kg. The manufacturer's maximum installation length is 20 m. We set the scope of installation and any surcharges at the free audit, and we quote the installed price after a free assessment.
