Panasonic is one of the few residential air-conditioning manufacturers that designs and produces its key components — compressors, controllers and nanoe X generators — at its own facilities in Japan. Cooling and heating technology

The refrigeration circuit is built around a Japanese rotary compressor with a DC inverter that modulates output smoothly across a wide power range. The inverter eliminates the sharp starts that on/off compressors produce — it holds the target temperature by adjusting compressor speed to the current thermal load of the room. The result is lower energy use, quieter running and a longer service life for refrigeration components. SEER up to 9.5 and SCOP up to 5.2 are among the highest values recorded for residential split air conditioners on the European market.

The unit runs on R32 refrigerant, which replaced the previously used R410A. R32 has a lower GWP (global warming potential) and better heat-exchange efficiency at a smaller system charge. The second-generation (Mark 2) generator produces up to 9.6 trillion particles of electrostatically atomised water — hydroxyl radicals — per second. Etherea ships with a built-in Wi-Fi module and integrates with the Comfort Cloud app (Android and iOS), which gives full control of the unit from a smartphone — from anywhere in the world as long as there is internet access. Comfort Cloud lets you turn the unit on or off before arriving home, switch modes, set the target temperature, review energy-consumption history and schedule weekly operation. The app also displays consumption pattern analysis, helping users manage running costs.

The unit is compatible with Amazon Alexa voice assistant — after setup you can control the unit with voice commands: switch to heating mode, set a temperature, or change fan speed without touching the remote or the phone. Comfort Cloud handles multiple Panasonic units simultaneously, making it straightforward to manage climate control across several rooms from a single app.

A wireless backlit remote is included as standard. The indoor unit's LED status indicators sit behind the front panel and remain hidden during normal operation — a useful feature in bedrooms where display glow disrupts sleep. Design and build

The Etherea Black indoor unit is a monochromatic body finished in deep matte black lacquer. The surface resists fingerprints and cleans with a damp cloth — matte black does not show marks the way glossy white casings do. The slim, gently curved profile with its characteristic AeroWings slot sets Etherea apart from standard wall-mounted units — the front has no visible grilles, screws or panel joints. The monolithic structure sits close against the wall, minimising the gap between the panel and the surface behind it. The built-in auxiliary handle behind the lower plate gives the installer adequate working space for cable routing and pipe connection without needing to remove body components. The removable lower plate, solid wall-mounting plate and screw brackets for uneven surfaces all reduce installation time and make later servicing easier.

The outdoor unit has a standard galvanised-steel casing finished with powder coating that withstands Polish weather conditions without corrosion over many years of use. Installation and service

The 6,932.93 PLN price with installation covers a standard fitting: the outdoor unit mounted on the building's external wall up to 5 metres from the indoor unit, copper pipe runs in premium-class insulation (Armacell or Ebrille), gravity condensate drainage to the sanitary stack and an electrical connection to the nearest socket. The price includes a nitrogen pressure test, vacuum evacuation and commissioning with a customer briefing.

Premium anti-vibration brackets under the outdoor unit are standard at LeoKlima — they eliminate vibrations transmitted to the building structure and extend compressor life.
